The Friends of Ferndale Fire was formed in the fall of 2022 to come along side the Fire Department in raising  much needed funds for the Dept. The annual budget for the Deptartment is financed by the taxpayers of the District, which includes parts of Lake and Flathead counties. The monies recieved from the counties  are  just not enough to provide the needed replacement of almost everything a volunteer Department needs to function. Being under the juristiction of a goverment eninty means that almost everything has an experation date even though it may look brand new. A group of individuals within the Distict found out about the challenge the Department has, stepped up and said "we can help!". They have been able to provide through ongoing fund raising efforts much needed items for the Volunteers that are not provided for in the base budget. They are taking over the Annual Buffalo Burger BBQ this year which has been the main fundraiser in the past. You can become a supporter of FVFD by becoming a member.
